About This Role:

Cardinal Civil Resources is currently looking for an employee with high integrity and excellent attention to detail to fill a position as a Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you will:

Prepare work plans, assemble project teams, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with scope and timely completion.

Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize theprogress of projects.

Personnel management, proposal generation, and business development

Oversee and assist with scheduling field work and maintaining the field schedule/calendar

Review and process the results of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and structures.

Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients

Verify the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. Perform mathematical calculations and check field data.

Ability to perform deed and utility research and compile record information such as record maps, legal descriptions, utility information, and right-of-way data.

Assist with the business development and preparation of contracts

Be involved in scoping, risk assessment and pricing of remediation projects.

Manage and approve time off requests and schedule accordingly. Review timesheets for billing accuracy and approve through accounting software.

Manage multiple vendors on purchasing field supplies and tools

Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects

Coordinate with other survey project managersand field coordinators regarding workload and scheduling needs.

Collaborate with project team members, to include licensed surveyors, engineers, and technical and survey staff

OTHER DUTIES

Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processesand always acting in a safe manner.

Participate in or conduct and document safety meetings with the crew weekly.

Maintains digital files on assigned computer equipment to ensure correct and current data files are used.

Assist in assigning fleet vehicles to field personnel and coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs. Coordinate vehicle transfers between offices depending on company needs.

Provide technical direction and training for using hardware and equipment if necessary. Troubleshoot, diagnose and arrange repair of hardware and equipment.

Assist other departments with personnel management and business development

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High school graduation or the GED equivalent is required. Additional college coursework or apprenticeship is highly desirable. An advanced degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3-5 years of project management and land surveying experience. Minimum of two years of field management experience.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • CSIT preferred
  • Experience in CADD Drawing and Survey Computation
  • Previous experience working in Surveying or Civil Engineering environment
  • Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD is required
  • Experience with Field crew management

ABILITIES:

Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.

Must have essential requirements: professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.

Must possess strong attention to detail and an intense level of accuracy.

Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents

Ability to perform calculations and instructions for field work and construction stakeout

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Valid driver's license with insurable record

Valid driver's license with insurable record

CST or Survey Apprenticeship Preferred
