Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests by installing, maintaining and repairing surveillance equipment throughout the property.
  • Protect the property and assets of Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel.
  • Assist with investigations.
  • Assume the duties of Surveillance Operator when required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all surveillance equipment as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance on surveillance equipment.
  • Routinely check and/or test all equipment used by the Surveillance department..
  • Maintain a written record of all maintenance and preventive maintenance, tests and checks performed. This log should contain information that can be used to estimate equipment costs (i.e. hourly time for repairs and maintenance, preventive maintenance, supplies used, etc.).
  • Install, move or remove surveillance equipment in various areas of the casino as needed.
  • Assist or observe vendors in the installation of equipment so that an understanding of the equipment can be obtained for future use.
  • Establish a timely schedule for cleaning of domes and cameras, and perform those duties so that they are kept of dirt and debris.
  • Pull wires for the installation of cameras and/or surveillance equipment.
  • Package and mail all surveillance equipment for repairs.
  • Conduct surveillance investigation functions in accordance with department policy.
  • Communicate and cooperate with other casino surveillance and all local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other casino departments and managers.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in casino operations, CCTV systems, computers, servers, raids, networking, access control systems, alarm systems and surveillance operations.
  • Networking degree and Limited Power License preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
  • General knowledge of electronic equipment such as analog cameras, IP cameras, electronic locks, wire and power supplies.
  • Knowledge of casino gaming (i.e. table games, slot machines, bingo, etc.).
  • Knowledge of conducting investigations and documentation for further criminal proceedings.
  • Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Continued training with surveillance operation procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Directors, Managers and employees.
  • Ability to work well with Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel staff and vendors.
  • Ability to project a friendly and courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain good customer and employee relations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
  • Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Mobility throughout the facility.
  • Good hearing acuity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Vision correctable to at least 20/40. Must not be colorblind.
  • Able to climb up and down ladders, and carry throughout facility.
  • Able to work under stressful condition.
