Job description

JOB SUMMARY

A surgical technologist possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Duties of the surgical technologist will be performed in OR, OPS, CS and other areas where invasive procedures are performed. Will be responsible in taking call hours as scheduled by the Director of Surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. Current BLS certification.

Experience: Knowledge of procedures, able to apply principles and practices of surgical asepsis.
