We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to join our Portering team.
 
Employment status: Temporary Part-Time
Duration: July 2027

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Patient Portering Services

Hiring Rate Range: $25.455 - $27.016

Employee Group: NOWU

Hours of Work: PT - 8 hour rotating shifts including alternating weekends  - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights.

Location: Wilson

Responsibilities:

• Transporting patients, pharmacy supplies, patient records, and specimens.
• Transporting medical/surgical equipment, case carts, and other equipment as necessary.
• Dispatching.
• Distribution of medical surgical supplies.
• Collecting supplies, instruments, trays etc. from the entire Hospital and disposing in the appropriate way. 

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year related work experience required.
• Demonstrated attention to details required.
• Good command of the English Language (both verbal and written) required.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate, with training, machinery.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, and the ability to work alone or as a part of a team.

• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
