Job description

Surety Bond Specialist

Location: Texas (Bulverde | Addison | Fort Worth)

This role supports clients by identifying and fulfilling their surety bond needs. The position works directly with clients, Client Advisors, and Surety Company representatives to execute all types of surety bonds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update client financial and bond files
  • Review contracts and bond forms, extracting relevant information
  • Ensure accuracy of bid and final bond requests
  • Prepare and issue bid and final bonds
  • Provide timely status updates to clients
  • Process final close-outs and premium audits
  • Handle billing and accounts receivable follow-ups
  • Act as liaison between clients, internal teams, and surety companies
  • Maintain strong relationships with surety partners
  • Prepare routine and follow-up correspondence (paper and electronic)
  • File, draft, and send correspondence and documentation
  • Prepare overnight packages, receipts, and mailings
  • Assist Client Advisors and other team members as needed
  • Provide general administrative support as assigned

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • 5+ years of prior experience in surety bonds required
  • Texas Property & Casualty insurance license required
  • Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, banking, or insurance preferred
