JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Duties:
  1. Assisting with recruiting, training, developing, and scheduling a high performing coaching staff focused on providing exceptional service and instruction and work well as a team.
  2. Supporting strategies to provide support and motivation to staff for the achievement of goals and retention.
  3. Assisting head coach in reviewing and evaluating participant performance.
  4. Responsible for documenting coaches meetings/development and trainings as needed.
  5. Assists with tracking coach certification records are current in accordance with Conditions of Employment.

Team Operations:
  1. Ensuring the team complies with YMCA standards and methods of operation.
  2. Supporting member-service and engagement strategies into all interactions with parents to ensure positive team recruitment and retention; keeping accurate records of retention, member and non-member participation.
  3. Building and expanding program enrollment and participation.
  4. Keeping accurate records of retention, member and non-member participation.
  5. Delivering highest possible level of quality coaching to team participants.
  6. Being visible and approachable to coaches, parents and members.
  7. Responding to all parent, member and community inquiries and concerns regarding the team within 24 hours.
  8. Communicating team information, changes and needs in a timely manner to supervisor and branch staff.
  9. Providing written and verbal communication to all team parents and coaches for clear understanding of practices, travel and YMCA team policies.

Fiscal Management:
  1. Staying within approved budget targets.
  2. Abiding by coaching schedules within set payroll budget parameters.

Facilities Development:
  1. Maintaining complete familiarity with all risk management procedures and policies.
  2. Maintaining program area and equipment in an orderly, clean and safe condition and reporting any irregularities to maintenance personnel.
  3. Keeping an up-to-date and accurate inventory on all equipment, materials and supplies.

Strong Community Campaign/Financial Development:
  1. Providing leadership for assigned aspects of Strong Community Campaign, special events and other fund development to ensure fundraising goals are met.

Other:
  1. Serving as a member of the branch management team performing specific duties which support the overall success of branch operations.
  1. Communicating information promptly to all branch leadership and departmental staff.
  2. Attending applicable training and conferences to further professional development.
  1. All other duties as assigned.

EFFECT ON END RESULT: Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives of the program with high levels of participation, satisfaction and retention of members, participants and staff.
