Job Purpose:

Our passion is creating craveable, memorable dining experiences. As a Bartender, you are a key part of delivering that mission by providing exceptional service through attentiveness, accuracy, and genuine hospitality. Bartenders are responsible for guiding guests through their dining experience, from the initial greeting to the final farewell, while working closely with the front-of-house team. Bartenders are expected to have elevated beverage knowledge and practice responsible alcohol service.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Hospitality First โ€“ Welcome guests warmly, provide friendly and professional service, and create an inviting bar atmosphere.
  • Beverage Knowledge โ€“ Demonstrate expertise in cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits; provide recommendations, answer questions, and ensure accurate pours and recipes.
  • Accuracy & Speed โ€“ Craft drinks efficiently and consistently, entering orders in the POS (Toast) with precision to maintain proper pacing.
  • Team Coordination โ€“ Work closely with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to deliver timely, accurate food and beverage service.
  • Guest Experience โ€“ Engage guests at the bar, monitor needs proactively, and handle requests or concerns with attentiveness and care.
  • Clean & Organized Bar โ€“ Maintain a polished and orderly bar area, including glassware, tools, garnishes, and stock.
  • Closing Excellence โ€“ Follow Q39 closing procedures, process payments accurately, thank guests sincerely, and complete end-of-shift duties.
  • Preparedness โ€“ Stock and set the bar and service wells at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaboration โ€“ Support servers, bussers, and FOH/BOH teammates to provide seamless service.
  • Standards Driven โ€“ Uphold Q39 standards of service, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service at all times

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or bar.
  • Proficiency with Toast POS or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods (4โ€“5 hours per shift).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Guest-focused, team-oriented, and professional attitude.
