Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is seeking a SAP Basis support Engineer responsible for administering, monitoring, and optimizing SAP landscapes hosted on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of SAP systems while providing support in a managed cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข SAP System Administration
โ€ข Manage SAP systems across environments (DEV, QA, PROD) including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, CRM, SCM, PI/PO, Solution Manager.
โ€ข Perform system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, support package stack updates, and enhancement pack installations.
โ€ข Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to ABAP, Java stacks, and HANA databases.
โ€ข Support SAP systems hosted on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) including provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
โ€ข Work with SAP HEC tools for monitoring, ticketing, and change management.
โ€ข Coordinate with SAP HEC teams for infrastructure issues, OS-level tasks, and cloud resource optimization.
โ€ข HANA Database Administration
โ€ข Perform HANA DB monitoring, backup/restore, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
โ€ข Manage HANA system replication, failover, and high-availability configurations.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and data protection policies.
โ€ข Apply SAP Notes, patches, and security updates.
โ€ข Operations & Support
โ€ข Provide L2/L3 support for SAP Basis and HEC-related incidents.
โ€ข Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support.
โ€ข Work within ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
โ€ข Collaborate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to resolve crossโ€domain issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong experience in SAP Basis administration (5โ€“10+ years depending on level).
โ€ข Hands-on experience with SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and NetWeaver technologies.
โ€ข Experience supporting SAP systems in cloud environments (HEC, Azure, AWS, GCP preferred).
โ€ข Knowledge of Linux/Unix OS, networking basics, and storage concepts.
โ€ข Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, Monitoring, EWA).
โ€ข Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
โ€ข Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
โ€ข SAP Basis or HANA certification.
โ€ข Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting).
โ€ข Exposure to SAP BTP, SAP Cloud ALM, or hybrid cloud landscapes.
