The ideal candidate possesses strong legacy system expertise in COBOL, Control-M enterprise job scheduling, and Linux shell scripting / OpenVMS DCL. Database Skills: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, database schemas, and SQL query construction.

Domain Knowledge & Experience:
Banking & Accounting: Foundational knowledge of basic banking and accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, general ledger postings, interest accruals, and transaction balances).
Operating Systems: Direct experience working within Linux/Unix production environments; experience with the OpenVMS operating system is a strong asset.
SDLC & Process Tools: Proven familiarity with standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, change control procedures, and daily operational proficiency with Jira.

Key Jobs & Responsibilities:
Production Support & Batch Monitoring: Provide comprehensive production support for the Depo platform. Support the nightly batch schedule on an on-call rotation basis using Control-M.
Incident Resolution & Troubleshooting: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, failed batch jobs, and processing anomalies occurring in the batch.
User Support & Data Extraction: Address user inquiries regarding application functionality, including account and interest statements. Extract data on balances, accounts, and transactions.
Engineering & Enhancements: Design and develop system enhancements, ad hoc requests, and robust environment scripts using Linux shell and OpenVMS DCL.
Analysis & Documentation: Perform analysis for system upgrades. Provide development/testing estimates, and author technical design specifications and application documentation.
Testing & Release Coordination: Execute integrated testing with related applications. Create and manage formal change requests (CR) following corporate SDLC guidelines.
Process & Compliance: Maintain real-time task tracking in Jira. Provide daily updates to management. Adhere strictly to institutional client policies and mandatory training timelines.
