Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Salary Range: $105,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

The Senior Supply Chain Specialist provides advanced supply chain expertise, analytical support, and cross-functional leadership to support the Materials and Planning team and the broader organization. This role serves as a key resource for supply chain processes, ERP systems, inventory optimization, and operational problem solving. The position partners with Planning, Purchasing, Operations, Sales, Finance, and IT to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for supply chain processes, inventory strategies, replenishment practices, and operational workflows.
  • Analyze supply chain data, inventory trends, and operational challenges to provide recommendations and support decision-making.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives across distribution facilities by evaluating inventory levels, supply risks, and business needs.
  • Oversee daily purchasing activities to ensure purchase orders are executed accurately and in alignment with business priorities and policies.
  • Provide visibility into purchasing risks, opportunities, and supply constraints through regular reporting and communication.
  • Support S&OP activities through data analysis, reporting, preparation, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Provide advanced ERP support including troubleshooting, testing system modifications, documenting processes, and supporting user adoption.
  • Support ERP implementation initiatives including requirements gathering, System Integration Testing (SIT), process validation, and continuous improvement.
  • Investigate complex system, inventory, receiving, purchasing, and transaction issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.
  • Identify process gaps and evaluate downstream impacts of proposed business changes.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD), Product Change Requests (PCRs), and product lifecycle transitions.
  • Maintain knowledge of supplier capabilities, lead times, transportation options, and cost impacts to support supply chain decisions.
  • Partner with Buyers, Planners, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance to resolve business challenges.
  • Support documentation and standardization of supply chain processes.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to team members and operational partners.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, or operations
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and ERP systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV/D365 preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments
  • Detail-orientated with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify gaps, anticipate business impacts, connect cross-functional dependencies, and drive effective solutions through critical thinking and sound judgment
