About Jerritt Canyon
The Jerritt Canyon deposit was discovered in 1972, and the first gold production from the property occurred in 1981. The Jerritt Canyon property contains 30,821 hectares of mining claims located in the mining-friendly state of Nevada. First Majestic acquired the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine from Sprott Mining Inc. on April 30, 2021. In May 2023, operations were suspended to prioritize exploration and technical studies. Jerritt Canyon is now entering a new phase of evaluation and planning, requiring substantial technical support to advance the work necessary for a potential future restart of operations.
The Opportunity
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all supply chain functions at Jerritt Canyon, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials and services are available to support safe and efficient operations while maintaining cost control and operational discipline.
Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Finance teams, the Supply Chain Manager drives strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthens supplier relationships, and implements best practices to improve reliability, efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all site supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, performance management, and cost optimization.
  • Oversee purchasing processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Manage inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency, including optimization of critical spares and working capital.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to forecast material requirements and support planned and unplanned work.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory and procurement data within systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance, including cost, service levels, and inventory turnover.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supply chain team members to build capability and support a high-performance culture.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management activities related to supply chain operations.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of materials to the site.
  • Collaborate with corporate and site leadership on strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives.
