Job description

NVIDIA – Director, Retail & CPG Industries Product Platform

We are seeking a dynamic, hands‑on Director to define and build the Retail & CPG Industries product platform in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on building a platform that reshapes digital commerce, supply chains, and intelligent stores, leveraging NVIDIA’s GPU‑accelerated technologies.

What you’ll be doing
  • Work with product management, business development, and developer relations to architect and build a platform that enables customers to build AI solutions at scale.
  • Use NVIDIA’s Normatic microservices, NEMotron, and other involved stacks, focusing initially on Agentic AI for supply chain, digital commerce, and employee productivity.
  • Collaborate with a strong technical retail and supply‑chain team and horizontal engineering teams to build effective developer experiences.
  • Contribute to technical thought leadership and engagement with the industry.
Define product, technical vision, and architecture
  • Develop platform strategy across supply chain, stores, and e‑commerce.
  • Architect and build systems hands‑on using existing Retail and Agentic commerce blueprints, NVIDIA’s hyper‑personalization tools, and virtualization optimizations with AI‑based discovery and supply‑chain solvers.
  • Create reusable reference architectures for industry adoption and define the product, technical vision, and architecture for the Retail & CPG platform.
  • Use NVIDIA technologies such as NeMo, NIM, RAPIDS, and cuOpt to write code and create production‑ready platforms with a focus on latency, throughput, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure system reliability through monitoring, evaluation, and fallback strategies.
  • Work together with solution engineers and developer‑relations engineers to present the platform to ISVs, GSIs, and customers.
What we need to see
  • 15+ years of dynamic work experience within high‑growth tech companies or building AI and agentic solutions for major retailers.
  • 7+ years of team‑management experience.
  • Builder mentality with proven track record to write code and ship systems; experience as a developer of AI agents is required.
  • Developer expertise in AI systems, including LLMs, RAG, and agent‑based systems.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, embeddings, and systems architecture.
  • Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
  • Demonstrated success in lean, high‑velocity environments, collaborating with engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering (or equivalent); master’s degree strongly desirable.
Ways to stand out from the crowd
  • Familiarity with GPU acceleration libraries (CUDA, Triton, TensorRT).
  • Background in Retail, CPG, logistics, or marketplaces.
  • Experience working with enterprise AI architectures.
Compensation and benefits
