Planner III - Global Supply Chain

Location: Portsmouth, NH | On-Site

Galvion is seeking an experiencedPlanner III to join our Operations Global Supply Chain team. This hands-on role is responsible for manufacturing planning, inventory management, material flow, and coordination across our Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Marlborough, Massachusetts locations.


The Planner III plays a critical role in ensuring materials, resources, and production plans are aligned to meet customer commitments and achieve on-time delivery. This position works closely with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, customers, and other cross-functional teams to identify and resolve material constraints and continuously improve operational performance.


This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supply chain professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and making a direct impact on operational efficiency.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage site manufacturing plans to align production, material availability, and customer requirements.
  • Manage inventory, stockroom, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure accurate and efficient material flow.
  • Directly supervise stockroom, shipping, and receiving personnel.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure materials are available when needed to support production schedules.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage manufacturing jobs, material requirements, kitting, backflushing, and inventory transactions.
  • Maintain accurate serialization, material traceability, and inventory records.
  • Develop and maintain stockroom and shipping/receiving processes, including cycle-count programs and inventory accuracy reporting.
  • Train manufacturing personnel on proper ERP/MRP transactions and material documentation.
  • Analyze production schedules, material requirements, inventory, and shipping performance to identify constraints and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and participate in lean manufacturing and operational improvement initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving lead times, increasing efficiency, and eliminating waste.
  • Support customer commitments by ensuring orders are planned, fulfilled, and shipped on time.
  • Prepare planning, inventory, material, and shipping reports for leadership and customers as required.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, materials planning, production planning, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; experience with Infor Visual or SyteLine is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Hands-on experience with production planning, inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within established timelines.
  • A customer-focused, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment and adapt effectively to changing priorities.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Travel between Galvion's Portsmouth and Marlborough locations may be required, along with occasional international travel.
