Supply chain management (SCM) is the process of overseeing and coordinating the flow of goods, services, information, and finances as they move from supplier to manufacturer to wholesaler to retailer to consumer. It involves activities like sourcing raw materials, production, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning to ensure products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. Effective supply chain management helps organizations reduce costs, improve quality, and respond quickly to market changes.
