Hourly Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

What We Do:
Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer LifeCraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 2,250 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 150 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.

Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Associate reports to the Supply Chain Manager and manages the purchasing, receiving, inventory management, and distribution of equipment and materials for Woodcraft Rangers' Inland Empire (IE) locations and regional sites, ensuring program sites are supplied accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Vendor Relations
  • Process approved spending plans: purchase materials for all WR IE locations and programs.
  • Develop relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing, ensure quality, and resolve concerns.
  • Manage and reconcile monthly credit card purchases.

Warehouse & Logistics Operations
  • Perform duties according to Woodcraft Rangers protocols and established safety procedures.
  • Assist with logistics, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Thoroughly inspect merchandise for damages and contact suppliers to resolve shipment and delivery issues.
  • Efficiently maintain warehouse and storage spaces.
  • Regularly use equipment and tools that aid in moving equipment and supplies.

Inventory & Asset Management
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment/assets in internal inventory system and reportable district systems.
  • Routinely perform asset and equipment checks at all WR locations.
  • Conduct inventory counts as required by internal and external sources.

Driving & Vehicle Care
  • Regularly drive to receive and distribute equipment and supplies across Inland Empire program locations and to other WR regional sites as needed.
  • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of Woodcraft Rangers vehicles and equipment, including gas, repairs, and maintenance for all WR-related usage.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Events
  • In collaboration with the Supply Chain Team, develop and revise department policies and procedures and assist in the training of all WR staff on department policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with other departments, ensure department protocols for loss prevention are followed at HQ, IE and field locations.
  • Assist with special events, including delivery of equipment, set-up/breakdown, etc.

Reporting & Technical Support
  • Prepare and present reports and/or findings on a regular basis (e.g., asset reports, quarterly inventory reports).
  • Provide Level 1 technical support to staff to identify and resolve both software and hardware issues.
  • Document support requests and resolutions via ticketing system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Ability to travel to various regions with Woodcraft Rangers programs to support or deliver equipment, across Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, and Riverside County (Inland Empire).
  • Must be able to lift between 30-50 lbs.
  • Must have a Class C driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based systems.
  • Plus - Knowledge of Asset Management platforms, e-commerce platforms (Shopify), and/or Financial Systems such as Sage.
  • Plus - Troubleshooting both software and hardware.
  • Plus - Experience in inventory, purchasing, warehousing, and/or distribution.

  • Frequent standing is required during working hours.
  • The ability to travel across the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties) and Greater Los Angeles area, using a car, is necessary several times a month.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 35 pounds.
