Job description

Director of Supply Chain
Location: Petaluma, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Compensation: 166/175K  + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for a well-established organization in Petaluma, CA.

This is a highly visible leadership position overseeing procurement, production planning, warehousing, logistics, inventory management, and company-owned transportation operations. The ideal candidate brings strong supply chain leadership experience and knows how to build an efficient, data-driven operation while maintaining exceptional service, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across procurement, production planning, warehousing, distribution, logistics, and transportation.
  • Lead and continuously improve Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and inventory planning processes.
  • Drive performance against key metrics including OTIF, inventory levels, freight costs, service levels, and total delivered cost.
  • Utilize ERP systems and analytics to improve forecasting, inventory visibility, planning, and decision-making.
  • Optimize warehouse operations, transportation routes, trucking schedules, freight costs, and 3PL relationships.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, vendor performance management, and contingency planning.
  • Manage supply chain budgets and identify meaningful cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and transportation regulations.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Sales, Customer Service, R&D, and Finance.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
  • Champion continuous improvement, accountability, safety, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive supply chain, logistics, or operations experience, including at least 5 years in leadership.
  • Experience managing complex supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, and transportation.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and leading S&OP, demand forecasting, production scheduling, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Strong ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is highly desirable.
  • TMS and/or WMS experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage suppliers, analyze data, control costs, and drive measurable operational improvements.
