Summary : The Manager, Supply Chain oversees the day-to-day processes and operational areas of procurement including supply contracting, supply conversions, distribution (just in time), product selection, and inventory control. Manages the processes and implementation for supply chain functions to ensure cost‑effective and efficient delivery of medical surgical supplies, capital equipment, clinical preference supplies, and purchased services. Develops partner relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and group purchasing organizations to improve quality and efficiency of the supply chain. Develops department initiatives that focus on team member engagement, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Serves as a resource and facilitates collaboration between team members and other healthcare disciplines throughout ThedaCare and within the healthcare community.

Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Effectively manages team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values.
  • Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
  • Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
  • Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
  • Participates in proformas on new equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Coordinates supplier presence and activities within the department and ThedaCare, and supports our contracted GPO partners while considering quality, price, reliability, technical support, and availability.
  • Manages and executes projects to improve supply organization processes, inventory, receipt, stocking, distribution, tracking, and evaluations.
  • Interacts with leaders across ThedaCare to recommend quality, cost‑effective supplies, capital, and purchased services.
  • Communicates with physicians and appropriate department leaders regarding product requests, conversions, and trials.
  • Ensures compliance with standards of federal, state, and local regulatory bodies and commissions in relationship to supply management including The Joint Commission, Department of Health, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), Occupational Health and Administration (OSHA), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
  • Accomplishes department goals by utilizing available systems to develop supporting integrated financial/operational data and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field
  • Five years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting
  • Three years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
