(Star Pipe Products Ltd. has an opening in Houston, TX) Assistant Supply Chain Engineer: Manage and control inventory using material management concepts to achieve customer service and balanced inventory; Establish, monitor, and maintain forecasting and inventory control policies; Working with International Vendors - especially with Indian Vendors; Complete task in timely manner according to departmental and company procedures; Maintain open communication and develop good working relationship within the organization and with suppliers; Maintain and monitor optimum level of inventory all the time at Regional Distribution Centers, through monthly reports like Inventory turns and Fill rate; Timely completion of requirement analysis for Regional Distribution Centers and distribute orders amongst various vendors; Maintain correct transaction data (IT, ETA etc.); Regular written and verbal communication with Domestic/International vendors for: shipment control, Timely delivery, issue resolution, and address capacity related questions. Communicate and coordinate with overseas teams to ensure correct understanding, proper execution, and timely feedback; Monitor and optimize on Freight cost on transfer to and from Regional Distribution Centers; Manage all the inventory transfers (Transfer orders tracking and related coordination). Supplier performance management, Production planning; Prepare weekly production schedule for Joint Restraints; Analyze lead times, bottlenecks, and constraints; Collaboration with Manufacturing, Logistics and Sales. Requires Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related and 1 year experience in the job offered, Procurement Engineer, or related. 1 year must include experience with: (1) Global Supply Chain Management, (2) Inventory Management (3) Forecasting, (4) Logistics, (5) Procurement, (6) Project Management, (7) Syteline ERP, (8) Tableau or MITS, (09) MS Office, (10) Develop KPIs & performance Dashboards; (11) Excel (advanced), (12) SQL, ERP systems & Tableau (13) MRP, and (14) Statistical analysis.
