We are recruiting for a Stewarding Supervisor (NOC 62020). This position is full-time 30-40 hours per week, permanent with an hourly rate of $20.00 - $22.00. This position is eligible for gratuities. Overtime may be necessary as required paid at time and half. This position may be eligible for incentives or bonuses.

The Role:

We are looking for an excellent team player with strong organizational skills to join our stewarding team.  Knowledge of hotel operations would be a great asset to the success of this individual.  You have a strong internal drive to succeed and can work independently to manage your stewarding team.  Our top candidate will have strong organizational skills along with the ability to manage multiple areas, delivering quick decisions while maintaining an efficient and safe workplace.

As the stewarding supervisor, you will use your leadership skills to ensure the success of each shift. You will be responsible for training new employees, focusing on the importance of stewarding’s supportive function to all of food & beverage, while ensuring safe and proper use of all chemicals.  You will lead by example and make sure all tasks of the stewarding department are complete. This includes start-up & shut down of all machines, tidiness of all kitchens, and ensuring all plating function set-ups are complete. As a leader in the department, you will also responsible for controlling labour costs.

Job duties:

  • Ensure policies of the Lodge are enforced, addressing them with stewarding management as necessary
  • Monitor all attendants during shift ensuring dishes get cleaned and organized properly
  • Ensure stewarding area is clean at all times especially tables, walls and machines
  • Ensure all areas within Stewarding’s scope of service is organized for efficiency daily and aid in the completion of the quarterly inventory of glassware, china & silverware
  • Ensure BEO function set-ups are done the morning or day before the function is to go out
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate amount of staff available for each function
  • Ensure china room and pail room is clean and tidy daily
  • Ensure completion of all stewarding duties
  • Aid in the completion of Stewarding Attendant Reviews, communicating the information to the stewarding management team for probationary reviews & annual reviews
  • Other duties as assigned
