Job description

Towneplace Suites by Marriott Lady Lake/The Villages is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for their busy hotel! Compensation is competitive based on experience. Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly or indirectly supervises associates and/or supervisors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure overall cleanliness of the hotel by supervising daily housekeeping activities, maintaining organized work schedules, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Train, motivate, and monitor housekeeping staff, ensuring high performance, adherence to safety protocols, and exceptional service standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring cleanliness meets brand standards; implement a 100-point room inspection system.
  • Maintain proper linen, cleaning supplies, and amenities; manage requisitions and purchases while staying within budget.
  • Enforce safety rules, address maintenance needs, and coordinate with engineering for timely repairs and upkeep.
  • Keep leadership informed of significant issues, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance with hotel and franchise standards.

Experience/Education

High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Previous housekeeping experience in a similar sized hotel is required, preferably a Marriott brand. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
