Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: Security Supervisor
The Security Supervisor leads site security operations at Florida Canyon Mine, including access control, patrols, visitor management, emergency response, investigations, security systems. This role protects employees, contractors, visitors, company assets, and critical infrastructure while ensuring compliance with safety standards, security procedures, and regulatory requirements. The position supervises and develops security personnel, coordinates incident response, maintains security systems and records, and serves as the primary contact for site security matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and support all site security operations while promoting a strong safety and security culture.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate security personnel to ensure effective site coverage and consistent performance.
  • Manage access control, visitor management, contractor entry, badge administration, key control, and enforcement of site security procedures.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and administration of CCTV, access control, alarm, radio, and other security systems.
  • Coordinate emergency response activities, security incidents, investigations, and law enforcement interactions as required.
  • Conduct security inspections, patrol oversight, audits, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate security records, reports, investigations, training documentation, and regulatory compliance records.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Safety, Operations, IT, contractors, and external agencies to support site security initiatives and investigations.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvements to security procedures, technology, training, and operational effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5 years of security, law enforcement, military, emergency response, or industrial security experience, required.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Mining, industrial, or critical infrastructure security experience strongly preferred.
  • In-depth experience with MSHA and other regulatory requirements, required.
  • Experience facilitating incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis while maintaining confidentiality, required.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities while keeping to tight deadlines, required.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and security databases, required.
  • Effective radio and telephone communication skills, required.
  • Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office Suite, required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, required.
