Job description

The Wake House Visitation CenterSupervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and coordination of theSupervised Visitation Center, ensuring that visitation services are deliveredin a safe, structured, family-centered, and supportive environment. Thisposition provides direct supervision to part-time visitation center staff andworks closely with the Transportation Supervisor and other team members toensure visitation and transportation services are coordinated effectively.
In addition to supporting thedaily operations of visitation services, the Supervisor will workcollaboratively with Visitation Center leadership, staff, and communitypartners to support and expand a comprehensive visitation center model thatextends beyond supervised visitation.

The Supervisor will assist in developingand strengthening community partnerships that bring supportive services,resources, programs, and family-centered activities directly into thevisitation center. In collaboration with the supervisory team, the Supervisorwill support the integration of these partnerships and resources intovisitation center operations.

 This collaborative approach will help maintain awelcoming, resource-rich environment that strengthens families, promotespositive parent-child interactions, and connects families with services thatsupport stability, well-being, and successful permanency outcomes.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Visitation Center Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the Supervised Visitation Center and ensure visits are conducted safely, consistently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Staff Supervision: Provide day-to-day supervision, scheduling, guidance, and support to part-time visitation center staff to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality service delivery
  • Transportation Coordination: Work closely with the Transportation Supervisor to coordinate transportation and visitation schedules, address service needs, and ensure families and children are able to access scheduled visits
  • Family Visitation Center Passes: Oversee and coordinate the Family Visitation Center Pass process, including appropriate documentation, tracking, communication, and utilization of the visitation center
  • Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, nonprofits, service providers, faith-based organizations, and other partners to expand the resources and supportive services available to children and families utilizing the center
  • Comprehensive Visitation Services: Identify opportunities for community partners to provide programs, educational opportunities, family activities, workshops, resources, and other supportive services at the visitation center
  • Community Programs and Resources: Oversee and coordinate visitation center support programs, including the Visitation Center Resource Closet, Family Resource Pantry, and other family-focused initiatives that provide children and families with access to essential items, resources, and supportive services
  • Weekend On-Call Coverage: Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule to provide supervisory support and coverage for visitation and transportation services, including responding to operational needs, addressing service-related concerns, and supporting staff as needed
  • Program Development: Assist with developing new programs, activities, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen the visitation experience and help establish the center as a comprehensive family support resource
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and maintain effective communication with visitation staff, transportation staff, social workers, community partners, and other stakeholders
  • Quality Assurance and Reporting: Monitor visitation center activities, maintain appropriate records, track program participation and service utilization, and identify opportunities for continuous program improvement
