Job description

Position Title: Superior Hydrovac SQT Specialist

Essential Functions:

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Superior Hydrovac SQT Specialist based in Fort Worth, TX. The SQT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining quality assurance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, performing equipment inspections, jobsite audits and supporting ongoing field operations. Duties also include identifying safety and quality training needs, implementing process improvements, and reporting on compliance and performance metrics to management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Experience in Safety, Quality Assurance, and Training within industrial, construction, or excavation sectors
  • Familiarity with industry-related regulations and safety standards
  • Strong analytical skills for documentation, compliance audits, and reporting
  • Competency in team collaboration, problem-solving, and process improvement
  • Proficiency in using tools for inspections and field assessments
  • Outstanding communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work in Fort Worth, TX and surrounding areas
  • Prior experience with hydro excavation or underground utility services is required

Success Factors:
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Power Point and Excel
  • Skilled at working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining good working relationships with employees and Front-Line Supervisors.
  • Ability to train and audit to complex regulations and complex technologies or management systems and programs.
  • Ability to enforce safety and health programs, procedures and practices consistent with OSHA, DOT, insurance carriers and customer requirements.
  • Ability to conduct training protocols by description based on safety, quality, and health programs, procedures and practices consistent with OSHA, DOT, insurance carriers, Track, and customer requirements.
  • Ability to enforce audit protocols to safety and quality programs.
  • Ability to re-enforce a safety culture based upon modifying behaviors, including methods of improvement related to behavior-based safety, near miss management, quality, claims review, post-accident investigation and adverse employee behavioral patterns.

Experience and Education:
  • A minimum of one (1) year of field experience at Utility Construction employer is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED -REQUIRED
  • Previous safety and or training experience preferred.
  • CUSP is also preferred, but not required.

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment.
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
