Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for a Superintendent.

 Position Summary :

 This position oversees the entire production process to ensure high-quality products that meet customer, Quality Assurance (QA), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) specifications to guarantee satisfaction. This job requires standing, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. through entire shift. Applicants must be self-motivated and excited about working in a team environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate shift manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meet specifications.
  • Daily management of production employees, including hiring, scheduling, and coaching
  • Maintains safe working conditions and promotes a culture of safety.
  • Ensures the flow of production, redirecting employees and resources as necessary.
  • Acts a partner with food safety and is an engaged member of the food safety team

Experience:

.          3 years experience in a food manufacturing plant preferred 

·         2 years experience in any supervisory role 

·         Excellent leadership skills 

·         Demonstrated team building and problem-solving skills 

·         Proficient with computer programs such as Office and Excel 

Wears the correct Food Safety garments including frock, gloves, aprons, sleeves, hairnet, beard nets, etc. in designated areas of the packaging process

.•Other duties may be assigned based on company needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Must lift 50+lbs repeatedly
  • Repetitive motion
  • Able to work in a cold environment
