Job description

This position is responsible for the pickup and offloading of aggregate raw materials using a tractor and end dump trailer, Belly dump trailer, live bottom trailer, or Super dump. Current CDL A license and clean MVR are required. Local deliveries and home every night.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.
  • Monitor instrumentation during operation of vehicle.
  • Properly load and unload equipment or materials.
  • Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
  • Operators will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves, co-workers, and the traveling public.
  • When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.

  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the FMCSA.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and MSHA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
  • Requires working in hot (90°F+) and cold (32°F-) temperatures.
  • Requires walking on terrain that may be uneven, muddy, and slippery.
  • Exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable.
  • Exposure to diesel exhaust, dust, and water mist or vapor.
  • Variable lighting conditions, dependent upon available natural light.

  • Workweek: Sunday 12:00 a.m. – Saturday 11:59 p.m.

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
  • Clean driving record (MVR) required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
  • Ability to read and understand gauges and job-related documents
