We provide nation-wide B2B waste management services to America’s best companies, including Instacart, Amazon, Weee!, Sares Regis, Ashley Homestore, Restoration Hardware, Sunnova, Kiewit, and many more, and we have served many public sector customers such as DEA, DOJ, OES, and various state and local governments across the United States. Dimension is backed by notable institutions including Altair Capital, Primavera Capital,  Lightspeed Ventures, Moderne Ventures, and 500 Startups.


Dimension is looking for the company's first Environmental Field Chemist to join our team in San Francisco, CA. You will have a predictable, not too demanding schedule to work across customer sites in the Bay Area and beyond, assisting with packing customer waste materials in customers' facilities and at other collection sites.


As the Environmental Field Chemist, you will be:

    • TLDR for this role: You will accompany our driver and stop by a few customer locations in California weekly on Fridays to pack hazardous waste at customer sites, preparing them for pick-up the following week. This is a once-a-week position that will require some traveling around the Bay Area.
    • This is a customer-facing role; you will be expected to treat customers in a friendly and professional manner. You will sometimes be expected to answer some questions as they come up.
    • Conducting a safe and organized work zone at each job site
    • Properly document each packing job and ensure each pack has the correct labels and inventory.
    • Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
    • Responsibilities may include light warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials onto or off of trucks or into the warehouse as assigned


Required Skills & Experience

    • Available every Friday and able to work long hours that day. A typical day might begin at 8 AM in South San Francisco, and end at 6 pm. We will pay you based on the actual hours worked.
    • Perform physical functions per job requirements
    • Some previous experience packing hazmat items is required.
    • Fluent English speaker.
    • US Citizen or Green Card holder, ony.


Compensation + Perks

    • Competitive market rate hourly pay
    • $25-35/hr. Based on experience & qualifications.
