Cosentino's New Mark Sunfresh #156 is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Day Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our valued customers and maintaining the efficient operation of our store. The Day Clerk will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including customer service, stocking, and maintaining store presentation, all while demonstrating a strong commitment to dependability and a self-starter attitude.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with inquiries and product location.
  • Receive, unload, and stock merchandise accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure product rotation is maintained to guarantee freshness and minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including aisles, shelves, and checkout areas.
  • Operate a pallet jack safely and effectively for moving inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding stock levels and customer needs.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout.
  • Respond to customer needs and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a self-starter approach to identifying and completing tasks without constant supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • General knowledge of retail operations and stocking procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven dependability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and operate a pallet jack.
  • Working knowledge of basic math for transaction processing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment.
  • Experience with product rotation and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
