Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time IT Governance Manager.


Description:


The IT Governance Manager acts as a liaison between the bank’s Risk, Audit & Compliance functions of the company and the IT Services department, ensuring that all technology solutions and processes align with regulatory requirements and organizational compliance standards. This includes coordinating all IT Services teams to maintain department policies, to address audit findings, implement required controls, and ensure ongoing adherence to policies and regulations. This role will also oversee IT Services department’s budget, contract and vendor management activities and partner with the Asset Management team on CMDB strategy and governance, including inventory management and life cycle planning. The Technology Governance Officer will oversee the department’s IT Change Management function, including serving as the lead of the Change Advisory Board.


Responsibilities:

  • Employee is responsible for adherence to all compliance programs and the completion of all required and assigned training by established due dates.
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT Services policies in partnership with Corporate Risk and IT Services Leadership
  • Main IT point of contact with Contract and Vendor Management, with responsibility to oversee the IT Services department’s budget, contract lifecycle and vendor management activities.
  • Partner with the Asset Management team on CMDB strategy and governance, including inventory management and life cycle planning.
  • Oversee the department’s IT Change Management function, including serving as the lead of the Change Advisory Board
  • Liaise between risk/audit/compliance functions of the company and the IT Services department.
  • Work closely with the CIO, CTO, and Enterprise Architect to drive technical solutions strategy and design.
  • Develop and implement processes and workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance in IT Areas.
  • Responsible for supporting IT Response, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery processes as they pertain to the continuity of operations within IT Services, or to support continuity of operations for the enterprise when IT Services are essential to support restoration or recovery activities.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining systems and applications in alignment with SBNA security controls and standards related to protecting sensitive data for compliance with Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA).
  • Responsible for adhering to Software Development Lifecycle policies, standards, and processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring all new assets owned by are identified in the CMDB with complete configuration item data. Assets owned must be maintained to adhere with all Asset Management Policy, Standards, Processes and work instructions.
  • Employee is responsible for understanding their duties and responsibilities as it relates to the Bank Secrecy Act, (“BSA”), Anti-Money Laundering Act (“AML”), and Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (“OFAC”). This includes understanding any responsibilities outlined under the Bank’s BSA/ OFAC Program, participating in any required training, and promptly complying with all reporting requirements.


Education / Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including substantial experience with IT Service Management and service desk management for mid-size and large enterprises.
  • Strong learning aptitude, and ability to learn new domains, technology solutions, and managed services concepts.
  • Ability to strategize, plan, and execute short- and long-term goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.
  • Analytical skills and a sense of structure are a must.
  • IT Certifications (ITIL or equivalent) are a plus.


Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.


Working Conditions


The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work-related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
