Position Description:
Join our Sunflower strategy and business development team, where you will drive growth for a leading enterprise asset management solution used across federal and commercial markets. In this role, you'll identify and shape high-value opportunities, lead end-to-end pursuit activities, craft winning proposals, and guide pricing strategies that position Sunflower for success. You'll collaborate closely with account teams, product leadership, and marketing partners to influence product direction, strengthen our market presence, and advance CGI's role in key asset-management communities. If you thrive at the intersection of strategic insight, solution storytelling, and market engagement, this position offers a high-impact platform to shape the future of the Sunflower product suite.
This position is located in our Lebanon, VA or Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
This position plays a critical role in driving growth for CGI Federal's Sunflower asset-management product suite. This position blends strategic opportunity identification, solution positioning, pricing leadership, proposal development, product-direction influence, and industry engagement. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of business development, product strategy, and market outreach-shaping Sunflower's trajectory across the federal and commercial asset-management landscape.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Opportunity Identification & Assessment:
Identify and evaluate Sunflower sales opportunities across CGI Federal and other SBUs
Build and maintain strong networks with account leads to surface new opportunities
Conduct detailed fit/gap analyses to align requirements with Sunflower capabilities
Provide bid/no-bid recommendations based on opportunity alignment and feasibility
Monitor external intelligence (e.g., GovWin) and assess direct client inquiries
Opportunity Pursuit & Proposal Leadership:
Lead RFx responses, author core technical and functional proposal content, and shape pursuit strategies
Develop pricing strategies that maximize competitiveness based on client needs and budget insights
Coordinate with FSG, Contracts, and Legal teams on pricing inputs, resource alignment, T&Cs, and deal structure
Prepare financial submissions (Step C) and support contract negotiation
Lead Sunflower software demonstration efforts, including demo materials, scripts, and environment setup
Business Development Tools & Content Management:
Create, maintain, and evolve reusable Sunflower business-development assets (proposal toolbox, pricing guides, spec sheets, FedRAMP hosting overviews, etc.)
Develop go-to-market support materials and Sunflower suite positioning resources
Pipeline Oversight & Reporting:
Oversee the Sunflower sales pipeline and ensure CRM accuracy for opportunity data
Produce reports and insights that inform strategic decisions and product road
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated experience in business development, solution strategy, or product management within federal or enterprise software markets
Strong ability to analyze client requirements and perform structured fit/gap assessments
Proven experience leading RFx responses, crafting technical proposal content, and supporting pricing strategy
Familiarity with federal procurement processes, contracts, and business-development lifecycle
Skilled in cross-functional collaboration (Legal, Contracts, Pricing, Delivery teams)
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and demonstrate complex software solutions
Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities and maintain accurate pipeline data
Preferred:
Experience with asset-management solutions, SaaS product offerings, or Sunflower specifically
Knowledge of federal marketplaces such as GSA MAS, FedRAMP, FM QSMO, or AWS Marketplace
Engagement or prior involvement with industry associations such as NPMA, ALN, FRPA, NDIA GPSC, or IAM
Exposure to agile software development processes (sprint demos, epics, product steering forums)
Familiarity with pricing model development for enterprise software or integrated hardware/software solutions
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $198,400.00.
