Job description

Suncrest Hospice is looking for volunteers (16+ years old) to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our hospice patients and their families in their homes and care facilities. We serve families in the Placer area including Yolo, Yuba, El Dorado and Sacramento Counties.

The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at the end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team: nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, chaplain and volunteers, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.

Volunteers are a part of a collaborative team of RNs, HHAs, Chaplains, Social Workers and hospice Medical Director serving over 170 patients.

This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for the busy college student and great experience for those in the medical or social work fields.

Volunteers are trained in their role with patients. We are required to conduct background checks and TB test, at no charge to volunteers. No drug test required
