Savannah Food Company, Inc. is hiring professional CDL-A drivers to join our transportation team. If you're looking for a stable driving career with consistent Southeast routes, weekend home time, and a comprehensive pay package, we'd love to hear from you.

As an OTR Driver, you'll transport frozen food products throughout the Southeastern United States while operating well-maintained leased equipment and enjoying the support of a company that has been serving customers for decades.

Our routes are planned with your family in mind, typically departing on Sunday and returning home by the weekend.


Driver Pay & Compensation

Our drivers are rewarded with a competitive compensation package that includes mileage pay, activity pay, and additional earning opportunities.

Base Pay
  • $0.47 per mile
  • $27.50 per delivery (drop pay)
  • $32.50 per pickup
Additional Pay
  • $45.00 driver expense pay for every 24 hours on the road
  • $14.00 per hour for unused driving hours remaining on your 11-hour clock on delivery days
  • $0.45 per 100 pounds for unloading ($10 minimum per stop)
  • $250 per day for vacation and holiday pay
Specialty Route Pay
  • $125 per trip – Cold Storage (Jackson or Tupelo)
  • $150 per trip – Cold Storage (Martin)
  • $300 per trip – Oil Run (Decatur)

Position Responsibilities

As an OTR Driver, you will:

  • Run multi-stop delivery routes throughout the Southeastern United States
  • Safely transport frozen food products while maintaining delivery schedules
  • Represent Savannah Food Company professionally at customer locations
  • Complete ELDs and required documentation in compliance with DOT regulations

Driver Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have:

  • Valid Class A CDL

  • Multi-stop route experience preferred
  • Refrigerated or frozen freight experience is a plus
