JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Supervisor, Materials (Warehouse) FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Manager, Materials (Corporate Warehouse)
SUMMARY
This person is responsible for supervisory work involved in the maintenance and accuracy of inventory flow and procedures throughout the warehouse. This position interfaces with vendors, the Summit program management and engineering teams, plant materials departments, both purchasing and customer service and finance to assure that accurate daily, weekly and monthly records of inventory and freight transactions are maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Supervise and direct activities of the materials warehouse Maintain and organize inventories Complete paperwork for domestic and international shipments to engineering tool shops and SPI locations including customs paperwork Maintain min/max inventories of resins/colorants supplied to SPI plants Coordinate quarterly physical inventories Schedule freight shipments Expedites orders as required Load/unload conveyance vehicles as necessary Maintain housekeeping standards Issue forecasts and orders to suppliers special projects and assignments as directed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years experience in materials or related field. Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Supervisory and inventory experience preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 20 on the Cognitive portion).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does not require any travel.
