The City of Lee's Summit is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Utility Worker in the Water Utilities Department. The city offers a full benefit package, training programs and development opportunities to engage employees and deepen their skill sets and expertise.

$23.13-$30.84 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

  • One year of documented experience in water, wastewater, gas, electric or other related underground utility construction, maintenance or repair.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker and air brake endorsement required within the first 18 months of employment

  • Possess or obtain within 12 months a valid MUTCD flagger certification

  • Possess or obtain within 12 months Competent Person Certification for trenching and shoring

  • Possess or obtain within 12 months Confined Space Entry certification

  • Possess or obtain within 12 months a Rigging Certification to support crane operations
