Job description

The Summit at Sunland Springs , a beautiful senior living community in Mesa, AZ , is seeking dedicated & motivated team members to join our team as Servers. LOOKING TO FILL BOTH PART AND FULL TIME POSITIONS.
Part time shifts start at $15 an hour
Full time shifts start at 16.50 an hour
Under general supervision of the Dining Supervisor, the servers performs a variety of duties involving preparation and service of balanced meals to the residents of The Summit. The Servers will possess a genuine interest in and concern for the food service industry and for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to communicate well and take direction to ensure top notch service to our residents.

Essential Functions:
  • Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of The Summit.
  • Prepares food, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with department personnel, as well as other departments within the community, to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the patients.
  • Assists in serving meals, as necessary, on a timely basis.
  • Assists with inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
  • Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies.
  • Assists with maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
  • Sets up meal trays, food carts, the dining room etc., as instructed.
  • May assist Cook with preparing meals.
  • Serves food in dining room, as instructed.

Minimum of one year experience with serving, kitchen safety, sanitation in a restaurant, health care facility, or institution preferred. Must have or be able to obtain a valid food handler and cpr card. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Must speak, read, and understand the English language.
