Job description

Primary Job Function:
Setting dies and various sized automation tooling, fork truck and crane operating (internally licensed), load/unload coils amp; sheet metal. Operation of the press line, racking of the parts produced, quality control, housekeeping and participation in TPM activities, forklift driving and metal rework of the parts. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed Management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Complete inside/outside die changeovers using a crane.
  • Set presses with dies and automation tooling.
  • Load stamping dies onto press bolsters.
  • Assist in building automation tooling.
  • Offload coils from semi-trucks with coil grabber.
  • Load aluminum/steel coils onto press lines.
  • Maintain proper paperwork, e.g. CRRF, check-sheets, scrap room records, coil tracking, etc.
  • Crane/Fork Truck inspection (licenses required)
  • Maintain die storage areas and responsible to clean the scrap basement.
  • Maintain housekeeping requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in improvement activities using 5-S / TPM processes.
  • Required to assist on productions lines when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of manufacturing experience.
  • One year Press Operation experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of quality systems.
  • Able to identify sheet metal/aluminum defects.
  • Basic knowledge using an ERP system.

  • Ability to climb/step up and down bolsters several times daily
  • Ability to tolerate standing for 8 hours or more
