Job description

This role provides high-quality nursing care to geriatric patients in a long-term care setting in Appleton, Minnesota. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans and ensure compliance with safety protocols. The assignment lasts 13 weeks and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide high-quality nursing care to geriatric patients in a long-term care setting, adhering to all safety and compliance protocols.

  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.

  3. Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document all care activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies.

  4. Educate patients and their families on health management, discharge instructions, and available resources.

  5. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment to promote patient well-being and prevent infections.

Qualifications:
  • Valid RN license from an accredited nursing program

  • Current BLS certification

  • Current CPR certification

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing

  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts

  • Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner

Preferred Skills:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred)
