Working as a Mechanic with Krise Transportation, you will be recognized as a critical member of the team that forms the essential link between students and schools. How Do I Start? What is Required?

  • Must have your own basic hand tools (Company provides major equipment such as diagnostic scan tools)
  • You must have or be willing to get a Class 7 PA Inspection License
  • You must have (or we will provide you free training to get):
    • Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger, School Bus and Air Brake Endorsements.
  • Must have and maintain the following to be able to drive a school van or bus:
    • A satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records
    • A satisfactory criminal history and child abuse history checks as required by law and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
    • Passing an initial and routine annual school bus driver physical w/ tuberculosis testing as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
    • Participate in and pass pre-employment and on-going random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment.
