POSITION SUMMARY:

Martis Camp is seeking outstanding Group Fitness Instructors specializing in Pilates, Yoga, and/or Barre to join our Fitness Team for the Summer 2026 season.

At Martis Camp, group fitness is more than a class — it is a thoughtfully curated experience that combines movement, music, connection, and hospitality. We are committed to delivering elevated, inclusive, and results-driven classes that meet our Members where they are, while inspiring them to move, feel, and perform at their best.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in their modality, a polished and engaging teaching presence, and the ability to create a welcoming, elevated environment for Members of all levels. This role requires both technical expertise and a genuine passion for delivering meaningful, hospitality-driven experiences.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Pilates, Yoga, and/or Barre classes that are safe, engaging, and thoughtfully programmed for a range of abilities and experience levels.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive class environment, building connection and community while maintaining a polished, professional presence.
  • Deliver clear, intentional cueing and provide appropriate modifications and progressions to support all participants.
  • Arrive prepared and organized, with well-designed class plans, music, and seamless transitions.
  • Anticipate Member needs and elevate the experience through thoughtful touches, presence, and attention to detail.
  • Foster strong relationships with Members, learning names and creating a personalized and memorable experience.
  • Collaborate with the Fitness Team to support programming, special events, and seasonal offerings.
  • Assist with class setup and breakdown, ensuring equipment is clean, organized, and presentation ready.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and discretion within all fitness spaces.
  • Stay current with evolving trends, education, and certifications within your modality.
  • Be available to engage with Members before and after class to answer questions and support their wellness journey.
  • Uphold all Fitness Center policies and contribute to a safe and respectful environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSURE:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of group fitness instruction experience in Pilates, Barre and/or Yoga
  • Nationally recognized certification in primary modality (multiple certifications preferred)
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, alignment, and safe movement principles
  • Exceptional communication and cueing skills
  • Polished, confident, and engaging teaching presence
  • Experience in a luxury, private club, boutique studio, or hospitality-driven environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships and community
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion in a private club setting
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak summer periods
  • CPR/AED Certification required – can be provided if not current

WAGE AND BENEFITS:

Hourly rate of $22.00 /hr + Generous Commission Structure

(Part-time, seasonal)
