ROLE OVERVIEW 

We're looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure Systems and Administration, you'll be the subject matter expert on all things IT infrastructure, helping to build, maintain, and secure our core systems. You'll play a critical role in every IT project, collaborating with peers, stakeholders, and vendors to mature and grow our IT operations. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with a strategic mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System Administration & Maintenance: Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core data center technologies, including Active Directory, Windows and Linux servers, and virtualization platforms like VMWare.
  • Storage & Cloud: Manage storage solutions (NAS/SAN/hyper-converged) and support our cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. 
  • Security & Automation: Implement and monitor server-based security protocols and policies. Develop and maintain scripts for automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and execute project-based engineering, installation, and troubleshooting for multi-vendor solutions.
  • Documentation: Produce comprehensive project documentation, including functional designs, best practices, testing and migration plans, and final as-built documentation.
  • User Support & Tools: Manage user provisioning and deprovisioning, and provide support for collaboration tools like Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom, as well as identity and access management systems like OneLogin and MFA.
  • Disaster Recovery: Deploy and maintain disaster recovery processes and procedures to ensure business continuity.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a multi-vendor environment.
  • In-depth experience with VMware, Active Directory (Server 2016, 2019), and Linux/UNIX environments.Proven experience with storage platforms (NAS, SAN, hyper-converged) and managing disaster recovery.
  • Solid scripting skills with languages like Python, Perl, or Shell scripts.Experience with Google Workspace and cloud platforms like AWS (certifications are a plus!).
  • Familiarity with DNS, Certificate Authorities (CA), and implementing 802.1x server profiles.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work effectively with team members and contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting technical processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage.
