Job Title: Summer Sports Camp Security
Camp Schedule:
All camp sessions will be conducted from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
June 15th - June 18th (4 Days)
June 22nd - June 25th (4 Days)
June 29th - July 5th (No Contact Days / Blackout Week)
July 6th - July 9th (4 Days)
July 13th - July 16th (4 Days)
July 20th - July 23rd (4 Days)
Total Days: 20
Total Hours: 20 days - 3 hours/day = 60 hours
Compensation: Security - $25/hour
Qualifications:
Required Experience or Training
High school diploma or equivalent; 20 Hour Security training; evidence of security experience
Preferred Experience or Training
PERC Card; post high school education
Primary Functions:
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all school-related matters
  • Conduct school related business in a professional manner
  • Maintain a professional attitude while disciplining students
  • Work well under pressure
  • Maintain a strong attendance record
  • Gain understanding of school procedures
  • Attend school trainings and complete all required trainings.
  • Provide general hall supervision to ensure appropriate student behavior
  • Check all students/adults in the halls for proper identification (ID, Visitor's Pass, etc.)
  • Circulate throughout assigned area, securing hallways, stairways, washrooms, and locker rooms
  • Intervene to de-escalate negative behavior
  • Check that all exterior doors are locked
  • Provide administrator and teacher assistance.
  • Escort students from classrooms to deans', guidance counselors', and police counselors' offices
  • Respond to emergency call buttons, fire alarms, or teacher requests as needed
  • Provide study hall management
  • Record attendance in logs and submit scantron slips to data processing
  • Monitor appropriate student behavior conducive to a study environment
  • Provide cafeteria direction
  • Check student Ids for appropriate lunch period attendance
  • Regulate lunch line, ensuring continual movement and proper behavior
  • Circulate throughout student cafeteria during lunch hours, monitoring appropriate student behavior and maintaining a clean area
  • Provide exterior campus surveillance
  • Lock and unlock parking lot gates according to schedule
  • Circulate in school van throughout parking lots, regulating vehicle traffic and securing safety of foot traffic at beginning and ending of school day
  • Monitor student truancy during the school day
  • Secure safety of staff and student cars parked in lots throughout the school day
  • Assist with student entrance/exit to/from the bus
  • Ensure that all exterior building doors are locked
  • Other related duties as required or assigned by administration
