Job description

Help us build the platform credentialing teams actually want, full‑stack work across our admin console, AI assistant, and provider wallet, on a tiny team with real ownership over what ships.

Credential Network is rebuilding healthcare credentialing, the workflow that decides who can deliver care and who can bill. Today our customers wrestle with a tangle of spreadsheets, shared inboxes, and 20‑year‑old enterprise software. We're replacing all of it with a single platform that pairs sharp UX with serious AI.

We're hiring a Software Engineer to help us ship that platform. You'll work across the stack, Next.js + TypeScript on the front, Postgres‑backed services on the back, with AI tooling threaded throughout, and you'll have real ownership of what you build.

What you'll do
  • Ship features end‑to‑end across CredComply (admin console), CredWallet (provider app), and CredAssist (AI assistant).
  • Design and build secure data pipelines for primary‑source verifications, OIG, SAM, NPI, state license boards, CAQH, and the long tail of payer integrations.
  • Pair with product and design on the spec, then own the implementation, the rollout, and the metrics that come back.
  • Help us scale our SOC 2 / HIPAA‑grade infrastructure as we grow, observability, performance, and security all matter from day one.
  • Mentor and review code as the team grows. We hire deliberately, and we expect senior engineers to set the bar for everyone after them.
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years building production software, including at least a couple of years on a small team where you owned a real chunk of the system.
  • Strong TypeScript / React / Next.js. We'll trust you to make sharp judgment calls about caching, server components, and the rest.
  • Comfortable with relational data, schema design, query performance, migrations under load.
  • Real instinct for product. You ask why the feature exists before you ship it.
  • Healthcare or compliance‑heavy SaaS experience is a strong plus, not a requirement. If you've shipped against HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar, even better.
What we offer
  • Competitive base salary ($140K–185K) + meaningful equity.
  • Health, dental, vision, 401(k), and the room to take time off when you need it.
  • Real ownership. The person who writes the spec ships it, supports it, and watches the metrics.
  • Spokane HQ with a remote‑friendly culture. We hire for fit, not zip code.
