Job description

Description

Location: Fishkill, NY | Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt | Pay: $45,0000-$55,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday-Friday; schedule coordinated with supervisor based on business needs.

Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5-12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.

About the Role

We're Healthy Kids - a certified Benefit Corporation running before- and after-school programs and summer camps across 14 states. We're building a training program from the ground up for our ~700 part-time teachers and our field leadership, and we need someone to own it end-to-end.

This isn't a role where you inherit a playbook. You'll build the playbook. You'll film the videos, edit them, decide what platform hosts them, figure out how to get bite-sized content into teachers' hands on their phones, and make sure the whole thing actually lands with staff in Alabama, New York, Florida, and everywhere in between. We believe that someone who really knows AI tools can punch way above their weight class in terms of output - and that's exactly the kind of person we're looking for.

You don't need to be a childcare expert - we have those. You don't need a degree, either. What you need to be is sharp, resourceful, and someone who figures things out. If you can sit with a subject matter expert, pull the important stuff out of their head, and turn it into a clean 3-minute training video using the tools available today - including AI - this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Produce training videos from concept to final cut - scripting, filming on-site at our programs, editing for consistency, and publishing
  • Interview and collaborate with our Executive Directors, Regional Directors, and subject matter experts to extract their expertise and translate it into clear, engaging training content
  • Organize content into our three training tracks and build the learning paths that guide staff through them
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement an LMS or leverage existing systems that fit a largely part-time, mobile-first workforce
  • Develop our text-message microlearning program - write the content, decide the cadence, and stand up the system to send it
  • Use AI tools heavily - for scripting, storyboarding, video creation, editing workflows, and content repurposing. AI isn't a nice-to-have in this role; it's how you'll multiply your output.
  • Partner with operations leaders to measure whether training is actually moving the needle on program quality

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Smart and driven. You may not have 5 years of experience, but you learn fast, work hard, and don't wait to be told what to do next. You figure it out.
  • Fluent in AI tools. You already use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, HeyGen, Synthesia, Colossyan, Descript, Canva AI, or similar to create content faster and better. We're not looking for someone who's "open to AI" - we want someone who can't imagine working without it. This is a must.
  • Some experience with video production - you've used a camera, you've edited footage, you understand what makes a video watchable. You don't need to be a cinematographer, but you can't be starting from zero.
  • A strong writer. You can write a clear, punchy text message. You can write a script that sounds like a person talking, not a policy manual. Short-form content is your thing.
  • A great listener and synthesizer. You may not know what a SACC regulation is on day one, but you can sit with someone who does, ask the right questions, and turn a 45-minute conversation into a 3-minute training video.
  • A builder mentality. You're energized by the messiness of building something from nothing and you'd rather ship something good today than plan something perfect for next quarter.
  • No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you went to school.
  • Experience with an LMS or SMS platforms is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Willing to travel - probably 25-35% during builds, less once content is established.
  • Bonus: background in education, youth development, or multi-site operations.

Why This Role Matters

This is a ground-floor opportunity with real ownership. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) care about this work and are personally involved in building it. You'll see your content used by hundreds of teachers across the country, and you'll get to watch program quality improve because of what you built. If you're early in your career and want a role where you can build something meaningful - not maintain someone else's LMS - this is it.

Benefits

  • Employer-paid childcare for children enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you are working with us
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • AFLAC Supplemental Plans
  • 401(k) retirement plan for eligible employees
  • Paid Holidays, PTO, and sick time
  • On-Demand Pay
  • Career development and growth opportunities
