Director of Social/Content Strategy

Online beauty brand in NYC seeks a highly creative leader to shape the brand’s social vision, elevate storytelling, and build a vibrant global community across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. The role, based in New York Headquarters, requires onsite presence 2‑3 days a week and occasional travel for photo shoots.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the brand’s global social media strategy, defining platform roles, voice, creative direction, and long‑term roadmap.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly content calendars, balancing proactive storytelling with timely cultural moments.
  • Oversee content creation across all platforms—lo‑fi, hi‑fi, educational, trend‑driven, and campaign storytelling.
  • Drive community engagement through comments, DMs, stitches, duets, UGC amplification, and real‑time conversation building.
  • Develop platform‑native content ideas, new series, and evolving storytelling formats.
  • Write and approve high‑quality captions, hooks, CTAs, and scripts that reflect the brand’s warm and playful voice.
  • Maintain a roster of creators, editors, and production partners; commission and oversee content production.
