Job description

Position Summary

Summer Friday is a creative content and marketing agency looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Video Producer Intern to join our team for 3-6 months. This internship is ideal for someone interested in the behind-the-scenes side of video production - where great storytelling meets exceptional organization.

You'll work closely with our Director of Video & Content and post-production team to help keep projects moving from kickoff through final delivery. If you're excited by editing workflows, production logistics, project management, and collaborating with creative teams, we'd love to meet you.

About You

You're someone who thrives on organization and loves bringing order to creative projects. You're naturally detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable, with strong communication skills and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

You enjoy solving problems, learning new tools (including AI tools) and workflows, and managing multiple priorities without losing sight of the details. Whether you're tracking deadlines, organizing assets, or ensuring client feedback has been implemented, you take pride in helping creative work get across the finish line.

Most importantly, you're eager to learn how a creative agency operates and want hands-on experience producing content in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the Director of Video & Content and collaborate with editors, animators, and creative team members throughout post-production.
  • Assist with creating and managing video projects in Wrike, including assigning tasks, tracking progress, and maintaining production schedules.
  • Help coordinate post-production workflows to ensure projects stay on schedule and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Review scripts, storyboards, edits, and client feedback to support quality control and ensure revisions have been addressed.
  • Assist with voiceover casting and coordination.
  • Organize project assets, maintain folder structures, and manage project setup and closeout.
  • Support project tracking, including budgets, timelines, and production actuals.
  • Communicate project updates and identify opportunities to improve workflows and team efficiency.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture while supporting projects of all sizes.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in video production, post-production, creative operations, or project management.
  • Familiarity with the video production process and post-production workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to pitch in wherever neededโ€”no task is too big or too small.
  • Experience with project management platforms (such as Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, or similar) is a plus, but not required.
About Summer Friday

At Summer Friday, we believe great creative comes from great collaboration. We value teamwork, open communication, trust, innovation, quality, and social responsibility. We work hard, support one another, and enjoy the process along the way.

If you're looking for an internship where you'll gain real-world experience managing creative projects, working alongside talented filmmakers and editors, and learning how content comes together from concept through delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
