Hiring Department: Retention Health Sciences Services

Location: West Charleston

Work Hours per week: up to 20.0

Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00

What our office does:

Our department helps guide health science students through the process of applying for scholarships & grants, assistance with personal need (clothing, shoes, etc.)

Position Description

This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:

  • Answering and transferring calls on multi-line phone
  • Retrieving and responding to voicemails
  • Filing paperwork, data entry, and archiving files
  • Assisting walk-in students
  • Participating and assisting in campus events
  • Additional duties as assigned

Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs:

  • Psychology/mental health certification
  • Computer Office Technology
  • Degrees/Certificates that result in employment that requires office and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn; have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments; be able to follow directions and communicate well; have knowledge of Microsoft Office systems; be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
