OUR OPPORTUNITY

Govan Brown is looking for an Executive Assistant to join our Toronto team and play a key role in keeping our Executive Team organized, connected and moving forward. Beyond executive support, you’ll also help bring company events and team experiences to life. The ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, is crucial to this role. We’re looking for someone who is organized, approachable, adaptable and energized by a dynamic, collaborative and diverse workplace.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Perform a range of administrative services including responding to phone calls and email, calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, expenses etc.
  • Prepare correspondence, documents, reports and presentations of a confidential, strategic and/or complex nature.
  • Provide top notch service to clients, suppliers and other stakeholders by responding professionally and with a sense of urgency.
  • Lead or assist in the coordination of team and community events.
  • Liaise and coordinate events with individuals across our Parent Company and family of Business Units.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various Govan Brown team members from time to time, as directed by executive group.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of experience providing administrative support to senior management – to multiple managers a definite asset
  • University or College degree / diploma
  • Previous roles in a professional services, commercial construction or real estate environment is an asset
  • Confidence and moxie to interact with individuals at all levels and with differing styles
  • Self- motivated with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment, handling competing demands
  • High level of professionalism, sound judgment with the ability to get results
  • Flexible, with the ability to adapt to new ideas
  • Highly organized and a stickler for detail
  • Enjoy working both independently and with a team, sharing information with others
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Positive spirit with a “get ‘er done” attitude


YOUR ESTIMATED SALARY

  • This role offers an annual salary between $65,000 and $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications, with final compensation thoughtfully tailored in the offer stage.


YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

  • Office location is 108 Vine Avenue, Toronto.
  • In-office. This is not a hybrid or remote role.
