Our Energy & Resources, Market & Transactions practice is looking for Summer Interns to join the team.
In this role, you will be based in our New York City office, working at the forefront of the energy transition with a focus on energy markets. You will be joining a team of trusted and well-known experts in the energy industry. Our Markets and Transactions (M&T) team brings together expertise across energy markets, utilities, and infrastructure to provide strategic, economic, and commercial consulting.
We support a diverse range of clients, including energy companies, banks, private equity funds, governments, developers, and utilities, helping them navigate the energy transition, adapt to the challenges of climate change, and position themselves for future success. Whether we're optimizing a company's market strategies or working at the intersection of capital and infrastructure to understand the value of power generating assets, we operate across the value chain to deliver innovative, reliable, and impactful solutions. You will play a key role in this work, delivering insights and guidance to drive meaningful outcomes for our clients.
What you will be doing
You will be joining a team of trusted and well-known experts in the energy industry. We work with our clients at the intersection of capital, infrastructure, and regulation to understand the value of power generating assets and the grid that connects them. You will be supporting the consulting team and our clients on engagements like:
  • Business and commercial strategy for corporations across the energy value chain
  • US market entry strategy for global renewable energy developers
  • Business case development for distributed generation technologies
  • Green power procurement strategy for large energy users
  • Carbon measurement, decarbonization and transition planning for organizations across the energy value chain
  • Decarbonization and transition planning for large corporations
  • Granular power market modelling focused on North American markets
  • Working with SQL databases, Python, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, in addition to advanced usage of MS Excel and other MS Office tool

By the end of the internship, you will gain a strong understanding of how energy and power markets function, and the role our clients play within them.
Your skills and experience
We are looking to hire motivated Summer Analysts who are deeply interested and curious about energy and power markets and who want to develop into energy market experts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about energy and will want to gain expertise in the complex industry to provide answers and solutions during interesting and challenging client engagements.
