Summer Elementary School High-Dosage Tutors (Math & ELA)

SALARY: Teachers -$42.65/hr
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Orientation Days: June 24 and 25
Start and End Dates: July 6 - August 6 - Monday through Thursday
Student Start and End Dates: July 6 - August 5 - Monday through Thursday
Up to 2 hrs./day








Program Overview

The Summer High-Dosage Tutoring Program is designed to accelerate student learning in Math and English Language Arts (ELA) through targeted, data-informed instruction. Tutors will provide intensive academic support to students identified as needing additional intervention to strengthen foundational skills, close learning gaps, and build confidence as learners. Programming tutoring will follow a school-based schedule developed by administrators and to be determined.

Position Summary

Summer High-Dosage Tutors deliver small-group to individualized instruction aligned to district curriculum and student learning needs. Instruction is structured, consistent, and responsive, ensuring students receive personalized support in a focused learning environment. Each student group will receive no more than 2 hours of tutoring per day, with group size and structure determined by student need. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-dosage tutoring in Math and/or ELA to assigned students
  • Deliver instruction in small groups or one-to-one settings based on student data and learning plans
  • Use district-approved curriculum, intervention resources, and assessment tools
  • Plan and implement lessons that are target specific skill gaps and reinforce grade-level standards
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold or be eligible for state of Delaware initial or continuing license
