Job description

Position: RPG Developer
Location: Remote EST hours
Length: 6 months +
Interview Process: 1-2 rounds
REQUIREMENTS
Position: RPG Developer
They need someone to come in that is a senior to advanced level RPG Developer with a proven track record on delivering enterprise quality systems integration code. They will work on integration of applications in the AS400.
* 7+ years of RPG/400 experience
*******Experience working with international ERP deployments.
*******Seasoned experience in developing transactional ERP integrations.
*******RPG developers with a strong background in manufacturing, warehouse, and order processing.

* Strong background in manufacturing, warehouse, and order processing.
* Strong skills in CLI programming, RPGLE and SQL in an iSeries platform
* In depth knowledge of IBM-i functions and operating system.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Day to day:
* Provide analysis, functional and technical specifications, coding and unit testing both for new developments and enhancements and bug fixes to existing code.
* Creating efficient platform integrations that will interface seamlessly with external systems.
* Work closely with business and IT users to ensure accuracy in the requirements analysis and definition phase of project work.
* Working closely with the Software Services Manager to ensure that departmental and company objectives are regularly reviewed and ultimately achieved on time and on budget.
* Provide a third tier of support for defects reported to the Service Desk. This will include analysis of code to assist with trouble shooting of reported problems, root cause analysis and defect resolution.
* Attending meetings and workshops with Business & IT to identify project requirements, scope, define and prioritize tasks.
* Writing of functional and technical specifications
* Coding, Unit testing and deploying updates to production environment using established CMC processes.
