Job description

Overview
The Mechanical Engineering Department (http://www.eng.auburn.edu/mech) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track faculty Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position to begin on January 1, 2027. This is a 9-month appointment, with the possibility of teaching during the summer term for additional compensation. The typical teaching load is three courses per 15-week academic term over nine months of the academic year.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the appointment include teaching and service. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Mechanical Engineering department. The typical teaching load is three courses per 15-week academic term over nine months of the academic year.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a PhD's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited institution, at the time employment begins. Prior teaching experience is desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and energy systems. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
The review process will begin on July 1 and continue until the position is filled.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
